Contract Details :

  • Job Title : Materials Supervisor
  • Type of contract : Long-term At-will
  • Expected Hiring Date : September 2026
  • Scope : Site- Adrian

 

Responsibilities :

Responsibility 1:

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations
  • Supervise the shipping and receiving personnel
  • Manage Shipping operations to ensure customer delivery ratings are met including service deliveries
  • Responsible for maintaining customer systems, and trained as back up for Master Scheduler
  • Schedules cycle counts for counters to perform
  • Ensures compliance score is met

Responsibility 2:

  • Manage Service operations to achieve Service delivery requirements
  • Maintain the 5-S system in the warehouse and shipping office
  • Implement/maintain Insystems board for Shipping and Receiving

Responsibility 3:

  • Authority and responsibility to stop production when a quality or safety issue arises
  • Work requires walking, talking, seeing, hearing, sitting, climbing, bending, stooping, grasping, crouching, pushing, balancing, reaching, kneeling, and standing
  • Must be able to lift up to 33lbs on a regular basis
  • Work requires working under high and low temperatures at certain times

 

Ideal Candidate Profile :

Personal Background

  • Associates degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 to 7 years of experience in automotive manufacturing preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience implementing Lean Systems in a manufacturing environment

 

Job Technical skills

  • Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); especially Excel
  • Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of SAP system
