Supply Chain Material Planner - Service

MISSION

Overall responsibility of the Service scheduling process for the Anderson C-Power facility. Responsible for providing material planning & logistics support to the service product lines. Ensure that the manufacturing operation has sufficient components and material necessary to meet the service build schedule and achieve targets set forth in the supply chain scorecard. 

Responsibilities & Activities

Responsibility 1: 
• Manage component and purchase parts/communications to support Master Production Schedule 
• Coordination with internal customers (Warehouse, NA plants & Troy) to meet schedules. 
• Create customer demand forecast and oversee all related planning parameters in ERP system (SAP)

Responsibility 2: 
• Support supplier EDI processes
• Optimize component inventory levels
• Support inbound freight cost using Third Party Logistics provider, including support of international inbound freight

Responsibility 3:
• Ensure on-time delivery of ordered items 
• Assist engineering change transition to minimize obsolescence, including assisting in new part and new suppliers management process. Routing instructions, packaging, procuring returnable dunnage
• Issue SNCR’s to suppliers who are past due or any other issues with logistics

Responsibility 4:
• Managing supermarkets/component location
• Audit warehouse and supermarkets for accuracy based on determined data in PFEP (location, loop size, correct card address, etc.)
• Manage service production planning and coordinate changeovers with main plant 

Additional Responsibilities:
• Support plant activities as needed
• Available for after-hours escalations via phone and/or email as needed for customer or plant support

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Supply Chain Logistics environment with prior customer interface experience preferred 
• Hands on experience with Lean Shop Floor systems preferred

Job Technical skills:
• Must have intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); especially Excel
• Must have 5 Whys or other problem-solving methodologies experience
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of SAP system preferred
• APICS certification and experience with OEM systems preferred
