EHS Intern Essential Functions/Duties:
- Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits across various departments to ensrure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification processes and propose corrective actions.
- Help in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees.
- Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and contribute to the preparation of incident reports.
- Work closely with the EHS Specialist in compiling and analyzing data related to workplace incidents and safety metrics.
- Review and update EHS policies and procedures under the guidance of the EHS Specialist.
- Contribute to sustainability projects aimed at reducing the company’s environmental footprint.
- Assist in maintaining records related to EHS performance, training, inspections, and compliance.
- Use PPE as required.
- Perform all duties in a safe & environmental manner.
- The schedule may vary as needed.
- Work is generally performed in a manufacturing and office environment
Required Experience/Skills:
- Pursuing a degree in Enviromental Health and Safety, Occupational Health, or relatable field with an interest in EHS
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
