AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN (CONTROLS)

Austin Plant is looking for an Automation Technician for 3rd shift

Working skills:

PLC Read and Program
Robotic Programming Knowledge
Good mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical knowledge with ability to read diagrams and drawings.
Experience of working with automation and assembly equipment.
Injection Molding
Vision Systems
Working knowledge H&S requirements in an engineering enviroment.
Strong troubleshooting skills
Forklift
Lock-out/Tag-out
Self-motivated with a desire for self-improvement.
Able to work to tight timeframes and continue to perform at a high standard under pressure.
Ability to find faults and problem solve.

Duties:

Modify equipment to support: Safety needs, Quality needs, or Efficiency needs.
Keep accurate records of work performed and downtime of each machine.
Communication with the maintenance team to ensure proper processes are being followed.
Assist in the troubleshooting and programming of PLCs.
Assist in the troubleshooting of electrical issues related to relays, sensors, modules I/O.
Perform facility-related maintenance in general carpentry, plumbing, painting, and low (12-48DC) / high (277-480AC)electrical voltages 
Involvement in new projects involving modification or installation of new equipment or machines for production.
Demonstrate leadership with activities that affect performance concerning the quality, environmental, energy, and safety system.
Responsible for the repair and service of injection molding machines with capacities ranging from 1900 to 2700 tons. The role also involves making adjustments, setting up, and maintaining robot rivet cells, automatic transfer systems, assembly suspended transfer conveyor systems, and checking fixtures.
Undertaking planned service work as requested, supporting the plant start-up and shutdown procedure on a weekend rotation. 
Understand operate repair and maintain six axis robots.
