Contract Details
- Job Title: Controls Engineer
- Type of Contract: Long-term At-will
- Expected Hiring Date: July 2026
- Scope: Single-site manufacturing environment
Responsibilities
- Execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities on production equipment.
- Program, troubleshoot, and maintain PLCs (SIEMENS), HMI systems, and automation equipment.
- Support robotic programming and ensure proper functionality of automated systems.
- Participate in troubleshooting and resolving issues related to safety, quality, and production downtime.
- Modify and optimize equipment to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
- Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to ensure standardized processes.
- Participate in new equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement initiatives (Industry 4.0).
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and other applicable standards.
- Promote and maintain 5S standards and a safe working environment, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
- Strong experience with PLC programming (SIEMENS preferred) and HMI systems.
- Knowledge of robotic programming and industrial automation systems.
- Experience with electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency with CAD software and engineering tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with MES systems and Industry 4.0 initiatives.
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
- English required; Spanish and/or German is a plus.
