Position Summary

The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy within SAP and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) through cycle counting, audits, stock adjustments, and inventory analysis. This role works closely with warehouse and quality teams to ensure inventory integrity, support operational efficiency, and maintain accurate inventory records.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts on assigned inventory to ensure SAP inventory accuracy.
• Conduct audits of storage locations and correct misplaced inventory.
• Maintain inventory accuracy within SAP and WMS systems.
• Investigate and resolve negative stock (COGI) errors.
• Collaborate with warehouse personnel to ensure inventory is stored in the correct locations.
• Perform audits of Vertical Lift Modules (VLM) and warehouse inventory systems.
• Verify part quantities and identify excess inventory through system audits.
• Support quality initiatives by assisting with inventory cycle counts and audits.
• Transfer inventory within SAP to align physical stock with system records.
• Make inventory stock adjustments when necessary to maintain data integrity.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions.
• Familiarity with barcode scanners and printers.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Availability to participate in weekend support rotations as needed.

Preferred

• Experience with SAP, ERP systems, or similar inventory management software.
• Forklift certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Inventory control and cycle counting experience.
• Understanding of warehouse operations and inventory management processes.
• Ability to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Standing: Up to 3 hours per day
• Walking: Up to 4 hours per day
• Stooping: Up to 1 hour per day
• Kneeling: Up to 1 hour per day
• Frequent reaching, pushing, and pulling
• Constant keyboard use
• Lift up to 30 lbs. without assistance
• Carry up to 15 lbs. without assistance
