Human Resources Manager

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and people‑focused Human Resources Manager to lead HR operations at our dynamic manufacturing facility. This onsite leadership role is central to shaping culture, strengthening employee relations, ensuring compliance, and driving organizational excellence across all levels of the plant.

What You’ll Do
As our HR Manager, you will oversee full-cycle HR responsibilities including:
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Foster a culture of trust through an open-door leadership style, consistent communication, and proactive engagement strategies.
- Support strong relationships across all departments and facilitate diagonal‑slice meeting participation.
Talent Acquisition & Development
- Lead recruitment for full-time, part-time, interns, and contract roles.
- Conduct onboarding and orientation for all employees and support training programs required by plant needs and legal standards.
Performance & Compliance
- Manage performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary processes, and terminations.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws, safety laws, and HR policy standards.
- Maintain HRIS systems and oversee payroll processes.
Health, Safety & Environmental Responsibilities
- Coordinate plant health and safety programs, Joint Health & Safety Committee meetings, and safety audits.
- Support environmental management activities and contribute to ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 compliance efforts.
- Take immediate action on any safety-related concerns, including halting production when necessary.
Leadership & Strategy
- Guide HR KPIs, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support corporate social responsibility activities and North America HR team collaboration.
- Represent the company in litigation, OSHA matters, and labor relations when required.
What We’re Looking For
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field (Master’s/PHR/SPHR preferred).
- 5+ years of HR experience, including 3+ years in a managerial role.
- Strong communication, organizational, and coaching skills.
- Knowledge of employment law, safety regulations, payroll systems, HRIS (SAP, SuccessFactors), and KPI reporting.
- JIS/JIT automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
- Union labor experience is a plus but not required.

This role is primarily administrative (approx. 90% desk-based), but you will walk through production areas regularly.
