Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Process Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team in advancing, optimizing, and sustaining world-class manufacturing processes—with a strong focus on plastic injection molding and automation. This pivotal role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership, driving innovation, operational excellence, and cross-functional collaboration. You will champion continuous improvement, uphold the highest quality and safety standards, and mentor a talented engineering team to exceed performance goals.


Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategic Direction

  • Lead, inspire, and mentor a high-performing team of process engineers and technicians.

  • Develop and execute forward-thinking strategies for process improvement and automation.

  • Partner closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to align goals and priorities.

Process Excellence & Optimization

  • Oversee the development, qualification, and optimization of injection molding processes.

  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, SMED, TPM, and Six Sigma methodologies to maximize efficiency.

  • Ensure 95%+ production compliance, stability, and repeatability in all processes.

Project & Innovation Management

  • Manage capital projects involving equipment upgrades, automation, and mold development.

  • Collaborate with external vendors for mold testing, trials, and qualification.

  • Lead Kaizen events and other continuous improvement initiatives to drive measurable results.

Compliance & Quality Standards

  • Ensure all processes meet ISO 9001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.

  • Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and regulatory compliance.

Technical Expertise & Guidance

  • Direct the application of scientific molding principles and Design of Experiments (DoE).

  • Oversee automation systems, including 6-axis robots and end-of-arm tooling solutions.

  • Support R&D efforts for new materials and emerging technologies.


Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (Master’s preferred).

Experience

  • 10+ years in process engineering, including 5+ years in a leadership role.

  • Deep expertise in plastic injection molding with machines over 1500 tons.

  • Proven track record in automation, robotics, and mold development.

Certifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) Certification preferred.

  • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification is a plus.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building abilities.

  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.

  • Proficiency in process simulation software and engineering tools.

  • Fluent in English; Spanish or German proficiency is an advantage.
