Site Automation & Maintenance Supervisor

About the Role
We’re seeking a highly skilled Site Automation & Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations, oversee automation activities, and ensure equipment reliability within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. In this hands‑on leadership role, you will manage predictive, preventative, and corrective maintenance, support robotics and PLC programming, guide maintenance technicians, and help drive compliance with all quality, safety, environmental, and energy standards.

What You’ll Do
Maintenance Leadership & Execution
- Oversee and execute assigned corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper functioning of all production lines, equipment, and facility systems.
- Perform maintenance across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems.
- Maintain accurate logs of all maintenance work and machine downtime.
Automation & Technical Support
- Troubleshoot and assist in programming PLC systems.
- Support and adjust robotic systems as required.
- Modify equipment to support safety, quality, and efficiency improvements.
Compliance, Safety & Quality
- Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards.
- Follow and promote all safety requirements, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Lead and maintain 5S standards in all maintenance work areas.
- Participate in problem‑solving for safety, quality, and maintenance issues.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provide direction and guidance to maintenance technicians.
- Communicate daily with maintenance team members to ensure processes are followed.
- Coordinate and monitor work performed by external suppliers or contractors.
- Support new equipment installations, upgrades, and project launches.
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and support Layered Process Audits (LPAs).
- Monitor and manage maintenance documentation, systems, and work orders.
- Demonstrate leadership across quality, environmental, energy, and safety performance.
What You Bring
Education & Experience
- Grade 12 / OSSD required. Technical Trade School with 442A license or equivalent preferred.
- 4–5 years of maintenance and repair experience, ideally in manufacturing.
Technical Skills
- PLC reading and programming
- Robotic programming knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic experience
- Carpentry, plumbing, painting, and general facility maintenance
- Forklift operation
Additional Competencies
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work safely, independently, and under pressure
- Knowledge of ISO and IATF standards
- Understanding of 5S and continuous improvement practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform frequent bending, twisting, and reaching.
- Must work comfortably in a non‑climate‑controlled, fast‑paced environment.
- Must be able to climb in/out of forklifts and work around active equipment.
- Flexibility for shift changes or reassignment based on production needs.
