Responsibilities :

  • Serve as a trusted HR point of contact for employees and leaders, providing guidance on HR policies, benefits, payroll, employee relations, and workplace questions with professionalism and discretion.
  • Support full-cycle HR generalist activities, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state employment laws, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate recruitment activities as assigned, including sourcing, screening, offer letters, and orientation. Coordinate with the HR Services team on background checks, new hire onboarding, and temporary employee conversion processes.
  • Support time keeping and payroll administration, benefits questions, wage and employment verifications.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including personnel files, job descriptions, training evidence, medical files, compensation history, organizational charts, and HR system information.
  • Coordinate employee training documentation, performance review support, education reimbursement files, badges, internal communications, and HR-related purchasing requests.
  • Partner with regional HR teams to collect, validate, and consolidate HR data for reports such as KPIs, headcount, compliance tracking, and other recurring business updates.
  • Support employee transfers, immigration-related coordination, internship administration, vendor follow-up, and other HR initiatives that contribute to a smooth employee experience.

 

Ideal Candidate Profile :

  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources experience; preferably in a plant, manufacturing, or corporate environment; automotive industry experience is a plus.
  • Spanish language skills are required.
  • Proven ability to guide supervisors and management through employee relations topics with sound judgment, thorough documentation, and a focus on supporting a fair, respectful, and positive site culture.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. HR, payroll, employment law, and regulatory compliance practices.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong administrative, communication, and problem-solving skills and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Proactive and team-oriented, with the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities under pressure.
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence by actively listening, asking thoughtful questions, staying composed during difficult conversations, and helping de-escalate sensitive employee situations in a respectful and professional manner.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule as needed to support off-shift employees, including participation in a monthly rotation to cover Monday morning start-ups.
