About the Role
Are you ready to make an impact on the efficiency and performance of a global automotive leader? As a Plant Supply Chain Engineer, you’ll play a key role in optimizing logistics systems, improving material flows, and driving lean initiatives. This position is perfect for someone passionate about continuous improvement and operational excellence.
What You’ll Do
- Optimize Supply Chain Systems: Maintain and improve production planning, inventory management, and EDI processes.
- Drive Continuous Improvement: Implement lean principles to streamline upstream, internal, and downstream flows.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and Material & Information Flow Analysis (MIFA).
- Lead Logistics FMEA and workshops to enhance safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate on new product/process introductions, ensuring optimal flow and layout solutions.
- Prepare and monitor KPIs for customer service, inventory levels, and logistics costs.
- Interface with engineering, ITS, and logistics teams to implement best practices.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience:
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain preferred.
- Knowledge of lean principles, TPM, and project management.
- Skills:
- SAP proficiency and strong data analysis skills (Excel, Access).
- Ability to lead workshops and influence cross-functional teams.
- Languages: English required; additional languages a plus.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and customer-oriented mindset.
Physical & Work Environment
- Onsite role in a dynamic production facility (temperature varies by season).
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity and mobility.
- Safety-first culture with mandatory PPE.
