We’re looking for a highly organized, detail‑oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our fast‑paced automotive manufacturing operation on 2nd Shift. In this key logistics role, you’ll help ensure that materials flow smoothly in and out of the facility, shipments are accurate and on time, and internal teams receive what they need to keep production running. You’ll work cross‑functionally with Quality, Maintenance, and Production while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency, and customer service.

If you thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy staying active throughout your shift, and take pride in keeping operations running seamlessly, this role is for you.

What You’ll Do

Shipping & Receiving Operations

  • Coordinate transportation providers to ensure on‑time, accurate movement of all inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Review purchase orders, shipping documents, bills, invoices, and PORs to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Make special shipping arrangements when necessary and respond quickly to any shipping errors to correct them.
  • Maintain dock scheduling, ensuring materials are received and shipped at the correct times.

Receiving & Quality Checks

  • Receive incoming goods, verify accuracy (ASN, serial labels), and coordinate with Quality for inspections when required.

Inventory, Warehouse & WMS

  • Perform warehouse management activities (WM), support inventory accuracy, and help develop processes that enhance supply chain efficiency.
  • Ensure 5S standards and facility organization are upheld across all warehouse areas.

Customer Service & Cross‑Functional Support

  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and escalate to the correct channels when needed.
  • Work closely with cross‑functional teams to solve issues quickly and support daily operations.

Team Support & Leadership

  • Support employee scheduling, rotation plans, and hours/OT tracking to ensure staffing aligns with budget.
  • Train forklift operators on OP Mobility processes and participate in necessary retraining/recertification.
  • Motivate, inform, and support team members to help maintain a high‑performing work environment.

Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement

  • Uphold all safety protocols, including PPE usage, and stop production when safety or quality risks require immediate action.
  • Ensure compliance with IATF 16949, CSR requirements, and ISO 14001 environmental standards.
  • Support continuous improvement across warehouse processes and operational workflows.

What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; post‑secondary education in a related field is a plus.
  • 2+ years of materials, warehouse, or logistics experience, preferably in automotive or Tier‑1 manufacturing.
  • Experience overseeing or coordinating teams of 10+ is an asset.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of warehouse operations, WMS, transportation management, and shipping/receiving workflows.
  • SAP or MRO experience is an asset.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes and obstacles, with a knack for solving problems quickly.

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication skills—written and verbal.
  • Excellent customer service mindset.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities.
  • strong organizational skills and leadership ability.

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Must be able to stand and walk for the full shift; no chairs available on the production floor.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, bend, twist, stoop, and climb in and out of forklifts.
  • Work performed in a non‑climate‑controlled environment—hot in summer, cold in winter.
  • Moderate noise levels; must maintain awareness around operating equipment.
  • Flexibility to move between areas or stations based on production needs.

Why You’ll Love Working Here

  • You’ll play a vital role in keeping daily production running smoothly.
  • Opportunities to grow your skills in logistics, warehousing, and leadership.
  • Fast‑paced environment where no two days are the same.
  • A team culture rooted in safety, communication, and teamwork.
