SUPPLY PROJECT MANAGER VIE – BARCELONA

 

Job description

 

Leading the project purchasing activities in serial changes (mini projects) with OEM, covering various tasks

from simple (update price in the system) to more complex ones (leading RFQ, decision about supplier,

negotiations). Covering purchasing activities like analisis and negotiation of offers, proposal of alternative

solutions, presenting of sourcing decision to top management; on the other side covering project management

activities - ensuring supplier delivers tasks on time, monitoring the timing, leading the PDCA with a supplier on

a weekly basis. Opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, learn purchasing processes and develop project

Purchasing Activities

 

  • Lead purchasing actions for serial changes, covering the full scope from simple updates (e.g., price adjustments in the system) to complex strategic tasks.
  • Manage RFQs (Request for Quotation): prepare, launch, and analyze offers.
  • Conduct supplier negotiations to secure the best quality, cost, and delivery conditions.
  • Evaluate supplier proposals and perform cost and technical analysis.
  • Identify and propose alternative technical or commercial solutions when relevant.
  • Prepare and present sourcing recommendations to top management.
  • Support decision-making by ensuring transparency, accuracy, and competitiveness in the sourcing process.

 

Project Management Activities

 

  • Lead the implementation of supplier-related actions within miniprojects.
  • Ensure suppliers deliver all project tasks on time and according to requirements.
  • Monitor project timing and track progress using relevant project management tools.
  • Lead weekly PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) reviews with suppliers to secure smooth execution.
  • Coordinate closely with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Quality, Program Management, Logistics).
  • Escalate risks and propose mitigation plans proactively.

Profile

 

You are a highly motivated young graduate from a recognized engineering school with knowledge in business or a recognized business school with a strong interest for a technical environment. As part of your studies, you have already undertaken an international curriculum (e.g. one semester or year outside your home country).

 

You are a team player, a self-learner and have demonstrated some leadership. You have an interest for the automotive industry and a first experience or internship in this sector can be a plus.

 

You are open-minded and with a serious desire to learn, and you can demonstrate a clear willingness to embark on an international career. You are also rigorous and result-oriented as well as customer-oriented.

 

Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
