Bachelor of Engineering or Science or Business School

 

 

Minimum of 3 years in project management as PM or project team member

 

 

Customer oriented

Strong knowledge in project management within the automotive industry

Financial knowledge

Good command in English, another language would be appreciated (mainly German)

Very good communication skills, and ability to network and work in a multicultural environment within a matrix organization

  • Lead the acquisition via the OPTIMAP process till the customer sourcing decision.
  • Manage and deliver the project in terms of Safety, Quality, Competitiveness, Timing, Profitability & Cash.
  • Synthetize with the team the development budget (investments and hours) and production costs for the entire project.
  • Identify and measures the risks and opportunities
  • Integrate lessons/learnt, best practice and lead transversal actions to improve PO competitiveness
  • Respecting quality, HSE and environment requirements internally and externally

 

 

 

  • Project deliverables, project profitability file (ERP), milestones presentations and minutes, project hours follow up

Activities

 

The APM is the Project Manager in charge of leading the RFQ process up to nomination, and therefore the accountable representative for the project during the acquisition phase towards internal or external customers. He/She :

  • Ensures the respect of the OPTIMAP procedures and processes
  • Manages the project team by escalating any issues on availabilities or competences, organizing and leading acquisition milestones (M-1, M0, M0bis, M1 or Mblack) and project reviews.
  • Ensures a good communication within his Core team, to the  different departments and with sales towards the customer
  • Analyses the OEM RFQ package and all perimeter changes to ensure the alignment of the PO response with them
  • Meets OEM to better understand their expectations and supports sales to explain/argue/justify the PO positions.
  • Makes sure that the customer expectations are met in terms of RFQ timing and RFT
  • Helps to communicate, follows and applies the decisions from the milestones or business committees
  • Challenges the team (cost, quality, planning, hours, investment…)
  • Builds the economic analysis & profitability file (ERP) in line with Division and BU objectives
  • Manages and identifies any deviations (timing, competitiveness, quality …) and takes appropriate actions to realign.
  • Identifies with his team the risks and opportunities
  • Leads make or buy studies
  • Checks with operations the  industrial impact of the project or the PO plant capacities / Capex needed and leads the appropriate action plan, 
  • Anticipates any appropriate actions possibly even ahead of the RFQ
  • Gathers, integrates and applies lessons learnt from previous projects
  • Leads transversal actions to improve PO competitiveness
  • Ensures a clear hand over to the project after the customer nomination at milestone 1
  • Provides periodic reporting highlighting the key project progress and risks.
  • Takes all necessary actions to ensure  the health and safety of the project team and the respect of the environment
  • Some travel required to support the quotation process in other Technical Centers, attend Customer Meetings, visit the operational PO plants to gain knowledge of the process and establish contact with local personnel
