Engineering Project Manager

            Location: 3241 Claude Ramsey Parkway, Chattanooga, TN 37421

            Shift: 1st Shift (M-F, 8AM - 5PM or 7AM-4PM)

            Hybrid: Yes #2 days permitted home per week

 

About the Role

As an Engineering Project Manager, you’ll ensure product design and industrialization including associated tools are within the Quality Control Testing requirements.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Ensure product design and industrialization including associated tools are within the Quality Control Testing requirements.
  • Analyze customer needs and draw-up PO specifications.
  • Define the concepts of the product design to meet customers specifications and GD&T and ensure that the design for manufacturing are fulfilled.
  • Serve as main technical contact with customer during design and tuning phases.
  • Provide functional specifications for baby parts.
  • Manage and perform risk analysis.
  • Manage specifications, manufacturing and validation of the means.
  • Manage product validation and tuning.
  • Define initial statement of work of product engineering perimeter including extended team, regarding project perimeter, development budget and Optimap Work Packages.
  • Define and set up the engineering project planning. Manage the engineering project reviews, consolidate actions and provide reporting and action plans.
  • Ensure product PRU commitment for the design relevant criteria.
  • Allocate budget to extended team. Ensure follow up of project budget and escalate in case of deviation. 
  • 10% domestic travel and 10% international travel

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent degree) in Industrial Engineering or other closely related field
  • Experience: Five (5) years of experience as a Quality Manager, Product Engineer, Project Leader or closely related occupation where required experience gained
  • Skills:
    • Design or development of plastic parts for automotive industry;
    • Checking Fixture Design/Concepts;
    • Design Software Knowledge (CATIA);
    • Geometry and Tolerancing Definition and Concepts;
    • DFMEA Process Management;
    • PPAP Process Management;
    • Engineering Changes Management;
    • Planning/Timing Management; and
    • Budget Management.
