MISSION:

To ensure all associates adhere to the 6 non negotiable’s and all other safety policies, to ensure all production requirements are achieved in terms of delivery of correct part quality and volume, to ensure that all processes are running to the correct parameters, and to have a technical ability with regards to Injection molding process in order to make process adjustments to maintain quality.

 

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

  • Adherence to all safety policies by all associates
  • Maintain part quality as defined for the product both internally and by the end customer
  • To ensure all injection process’s are running to correct parameters
  • To manage all production changes according to schedule
  • To support Injection Team leader with regards to injection operations
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement tools (POSITIVE, POMs, Focused Improvement Roadmap, etc)

 

SPECIFIC ACTIVITIES:

Injection production activities

  • Monitor work environment and mentor employee actions to ensure safe working conditions
  • To validate part quality in line with “First piece approval process” FPA and in process validation
  • Monitor production schedule to ensure that parts are available for the Paint Departments and that assembly has parts needed for paint
  • Ensure World Class part quality is delivered to all customers
  • To support Injection Team leader as required to maintain production
  • Report any safety or performance issues to Injection Team leader, Sr Process Tech
  • To maintain schedule “job creation” in Mattec
  • To maintain reporting via Mattec of down time, scrap and production schedule
  • To conduct tool changes with support of other team members
  • To lead Kaizen, 5s and other CI related workshops as required
  • To monitor key process parameters to ensure production meets quality requirements
  • To adjust process as required to maintain quality
  • To maintain all production records as required to adhere to Injection Golden rules
  • To participate in mold trials as required
  • To participate in QRQC activities
  • To ensure targets of OEE, SMED, Scrap and CNQ are met

 

Injection process activities :

  • Carry out tasks as required during a mold change including changing of EOAT
  • Ability to run IMM production cell
  • Carry out trouble shooting and process adjustments to maintain part quality, ensuring root cause analysis is completed before parameters adjustments.
  • Operate Kuka KRC4 robot including program adjustments to maintain accuracy of degate
  • Review data from either IMM, ancillaries or Mattec to understand process drift & take appropriate action to correct
  • Carry out level 1 PM on mold tools at start up
  • Carry out PM tasks on EOAT and IMM as required
  • To carry out tasks associated to material selection when required
  • To understand and be responsible for material feed system operation and 5s, including the use of regrind
  • To liaise with “Team leader” to coordinate and carry out mold changes as a team
  • To report issues related to process, mold, EOAT or robot cell to Senior Process technician
  • To assist Toolroom and Maintenance activities where required and possible

 

PO standards

  • To ensure that all associated documentation is completed as required
  • To ensure all current PO standards are deployed and maintained
  • To ensure all WI comply to current standards and deliver the correct quality part
  • To ensure all associates adhere to content of WI
  • To be involved and deploy workshops using A3/8D and Kaizen formats
  • To apply all PO standards related to Injection
  • To apply & maintain 5s standards within work areas
