Education

  • Bachelor degree
  • Enhanced professional training on Quality Management subjects preferred

 

Professional Training

  • 5+ years Tier 1 Supplier experience in a Quality Management role is required.
  • Progressive 10 years’ experience in automotive parts manufacturing, prefer module / assembly experience.
  • IATF16949 experience in plant quality deployments. VDA experience preferred.
  • ISO Core tools training and expert knowledge. Process Map, FMEA, Control Plans, Work Instructions.
  • Dimensional Controls.
  • Lean management, 5S.

 

Related Experience/Specialized Knowledge

  • Strong organizational and managemnet skills.
  • Strong Communication – verbal and written.
  • Expert knowledge in problem solving skills – 8D, Risk based thinking.
  • Previous Supervisory experience.
  • IATF/ ISO auditing experience and certification.

Duties

  • It is the responsibility of the Quality Manager to act as a quality interface between the customer needs, supplier issues and production concerns in our Just-In-Time production Environment.
  • QM Systems - Responsible for development, certification and maintenance of QM System based on ISO 9001, IATF 16949 requirements.  Responsible for development, certification and maintenance of Environmental and Energy management System based on ISO 14001/ ISO.
  • Improvement plan: Lead/ and Coordination of activities related to quality topics (KPI’s) for the compilation of continuous improvement plans in the plant, to ensure competitiveness through permanent improvements. Proactively identify risks and opportunities, prioritize problems, help staff identify and solve problems on time, including hands on trouble shooting activities.
  • Customer service / quality of service: Recognize and take charge of quality and service problems, suggest solutions with all the people involved and ensure they are carried out, to achieve the highest customer satisfaction.
  • Supplier quality and development: Lead and coordinate activities related to development and support of suppliers to ensure quality products are received at HBPO. Ensure implementation of corrective actions and verify their effectiveness for issues found with supplier parts.
  • Product quality:

Supervision of quality performance in production.

Recognition of quality and service problems as well as the preparation of suggestions for solutions, implementation of corrective measures and verification of their effectiveness to achieve the "goal of zero failures" and ensure product quality.

Carry out inspections of characteristics required for documentation (SPC or critical points) and introduction of corrective measures in case of deviations.

You have an obligation to cooperate to prevent defective parts from reaching our customers and therefore the right to stop the production and delivery of defective and possibly defective components / parts to customer.

  • Audits: Lead in planning and completing internal audits and external audits as well as product and layered process audits, to verify the effectiveness of the Quality Management System and recognize possible deviations and initiate corrective measures.
  • Report: Frequent information to Management and Regional Office of Quality Management on actions related to quality, operating figures, and trends, as well as quality costs. Quality cost monitoring with the introduction of precise measures for quality cost reduction. Quality KPIs reporting to plant manager and regional quality manager.
  • Training: Carry out training to promote awareness of Quality and Energy/ Environment system at all levels.
  • Management: Manage with quality objectives and motivate to develop potential and skills in quality team.
  • Lead or participate in APQP/ PPAP approval process for new products and Engineering changes to assure on time customer approval of HBPO Module and supplier parts.
  • Lead or assist with warranty returns, reporting and analysis. Ensure on time response to customer for warranty claims.
  • Lead Creation, implementation, improvement and control of documentation/Processes for the facility.
  • Participate in training of new employees and ongoing skill development.
  • Perform all duties in a safe and environmental manner.
  • Management Representative – for a Quality and Customer related matters.
  • Responsible for ensuring compliance to CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance and customer standards and ensure excess to customer portal for Quality team.
  • Has the ability to stop production, upon notifying the supervisor and plant manager for Safety Related matter requiring immediate attention.
  • Support and/or drive adherence, changes or improvements tied to improved overall plant Health and Safety.
  • Take every precaution reasonable to protect the Health and Safety of the workers.
  • Lead in driving quality KPI’s within our facility.
  • Environmental and Energy Management Representative for plant.
  • Lead CI programs and Internal PPM improvement activities.
  • Has the authority to stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor and Plant Manager for quality related nonconforming matters requiring immediate repair.
  • Support implementation and maintaining of ISO 45001.
  • Other Duties as assigned by Plant manager, NAFTA HQ or Global HQ.
