CONTRACT

VIE – as part of the reinforcement program of youth employability, Business France created the VIE Contract. To be eligible, candidates must be between 18 and 28 years old, hold citizenship in a country within the European Economic Area, and not have previously worked in the country where they are applying. CONTEXT

You are joining the Purchasing team based in Curitiba, to support development of new Program in South America (Brazil and Argentina). You will work with both the Purchasing team, the Project Management team, and your supplier base, to contribute to the projects with your Purchasing expertise.

MISSIONS

  • Represent local team as Lead Buyer in regional or global development programs
  • Elaborate the CBOM for new projects under RFQ stage
  • Negotiate optimal pricing and terms and conditions with suppliers
  • Lead sourcing activities for BOM components
  • Track and maintain program deliverables (sourcing status, financials, supplier timing, PPAPs etc.)
  • Support and drive cost reduction activities aligned with regional and global purchasing objectives
  • Manage supplier relationships in accordance with Purchasing procedures, policy/compliance and commodity strategy
  • Issue and analyze request for quotations (RFQs) from approved suppliers to support production or pre-production requirements and issue subsequent purchase orders and follow deliveries for each project event
  • Assists and/or leads the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problems
  • Ensure coordination with SQE for on time sourcing (kick-off) meetings with suppliers upon award
  • Initiate cross-functional meetings with program team and suppliers
  • Coordinate engineering changes, tool transfers, and benchmarking activities for assigned programs
  • Develop, maintain, and publish appropriate documentation according to purchasing procedures
  • Ensure COP procedure is done for new projects together with commodity buyer
  • Elaborate with suppliers the tooling book (for customers) and consignment tooling contract
  • Ensure parametrization on new BOM PN`s in SAP and issue the SA´s for SOP

PROFILE

  • Master's degree (Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, or related)
  • Previous experience in a simlar industry is preferred
  • Previous succesful experience in Purchasing or Program Purchasing is preferr
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Priority setting and time management, organization skills
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment, and ability to interact with all levels of the organization
  • Strong initiative skills
  • Ability to travel domestically and international
  • Fluent English. Knowledge of Spanish or Portuguese.
