Main Missions:

  • Develop, implement and maintain management activities in line with HSE policies, customer expectations and plant objectives, ensuring optimum performance
  • Coach and develop team to deliver maximum efficiency in all areas
  • Implement supply chain progress plan to deliver continuous improvement within the department

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure parts are planned and produced according to customer timing requirements
  • Take part in the implementation of the plant progress plan encouraging staff involvement, through the implementation of a specific follow-up activity
  • Ensure that resources are available to meet customer requirements, short term, mid-term and long-term for both serial and service parts :
  • Manage day to day customer interface
  • Guarantee a smooth production plan through an efficient master plan process
  • Manage all in-BOM inventories:
    Incoming goods, warehousing, stock transfer and line-feeding, shipping and deliveries.
  • Find the best balance between low bought-out parts inventory and production line feeding without shortage through efficient supplier procurement
  • Anticipate mid/long-term capacity issues and propose solutions to the plant management
  • Develop contingency plans.
  • Manage the supply chain area internal organization
  • Manage the team (organization, objectives, discipline and mindset, people development) according to department and projects requirements
  • Is required to maintain a high level of maintenance and cleanliness in the supply chain area
  • Propose the operating budget (surfaces, handling means, transport, labor, departmental overheads costs) and then deliver the agreed budget.
  • Provide appropriate support on new programs development in relation with program development team
  • Support and acquire the knowledge to deploy best practices
  • Put in place effective visual management
  • Ensure the good usage of SCOOP
  • Assist production with logistics issues (Setting up of action plans, setting up of logistics tools, helping them with logistics incidents...).
  • Manage relationships with the logistics service partners (transport carriers, customs clearance brokers…).
  • Participate to customer logistic audit.
  • Manage product run-out by limiting obsolescence consequences Ensure compliance with corporate and division HSE objectives and requirements
  • Ensure the implementation, maintenance and effective operation of the IMS, ensures that the requirements of this system are communicated, followed, maintained in their Department.
  • This position has the authority and responsibility to stop any process that endangers the safety or health of personnel, significant impacts on the environment, as well as the quality of the product that affect our customers, ensuring that the corresponding procedures are followed within the IMS.
  • Responsible to implement action to prevent fires and environmental impacts through the IMS, have a Coordination role as part of crisis management team
  •  Ensure the proper planning of goods and components in order to reduce CO2 emission by Transportation
  • Influence and is decision-maker to select local Suppliers and Carriers with environmental programs to reduce the CO2 Emission  

Experience/Profile:

  • Degree level education with preferred specialization in engineering / plastics
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in managerial or leadership position
  • Experience dealing with demanding customers with regard to quality and delivery (Tier 1automotive experience a plus)
  • Experience in a large manufacturing environment, with a background to problem solving, deployment of industrial standards and best practices
  • “Lean” application to products, processes and flows
  • APICS / CIPM qualification an advantage
  • Proven record of delivering results
  • Open to new concepts and innovation with application to problem solving and productivity improvement
  • Good communicator with strong leadership skills
  • Dedication to safety
  • Internal and external customer orientation
