MISSION 
The IS/IT Operations Engineer VIE is responsible for maintaining and supporting all plant administration and manufacturing systems to ensure optimal performance and uptime in accordance with group standards.

 

Responsibilities & Activities  
•    Responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software in support of plant operations
•    Manage all Information System Projects for the plant
•    Database and Server management/maintenance
•    Microsoft Office solutions deployment and support
•    Plant Networking Systems management
•    Management of information systems administrative tasks (backups, documentation, purchases, etc.)
•    Provide help desk response and customer service under a Cisco/Windows/Office365 environment
•    Manage Information System Projects for the site (local and regional)
•    IT asset reporting – workstation identification, installation, inventory, and maintenance
•    Database and server maintenance and management (Windows SQL)
•    Monitoring and maintenance of plant network (Cisco/Palo Alto devices)
•    Management infrastructure required to support ERP operations and MES systems (HP/VMware)
•    Monitor and maintain plant shipping systems(s)
•    Monitor and maintain plant timekeeping and telephone systems
•    Actively participate in continuous improvement activities
•    Authority and responsibility to stop production if a safety or quality issue arises
•    Management of plant IS&S budget

 

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

Personal Background
•    Master’s degree in computer science 
•    2+ years IT support under a Cisco/Windows/VMWare environment

 

Job Technical skills
•    Microsoft Windows server management experience as well as virtualization solutions
•    Working knowledge of Office365 solutions
•    Working knowledge of active directory
•    Working knowledge of TCPIP and networks (LAN/WAN)
•    Understanding of phone systems operations (PBX, VoIP)
•    Manufacturing environment experience
•    Understanding of automation, PLC’s, HMI systems, networking, and data acquisition systems preferred
