We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Manager to oversee all aspects of our facility’s production, ensuring quality, efficiency, and a positive workplace culture. What You’ll Do
- Review production orders and schedules to plan and coordinate daily operations, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Establish priorities for manufacturing processes and develop operational schedules to meet production goals.
- Monitor and analyze production and operational reports; resolve issues to minimize costs and prevent delays.
- Inspect equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal performance and utilization.
- Develop and enforce standard operating procedures and observe staff to ensure compliance and safety.
- Compile, store, and retrieve production data to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
- Lead daily/weekly 5S activities to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workplace.
- Manage plant costs and strive for cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
Lead and Develop Teams
- Oversee department supervisors and ensure effective direction, coordination, and evaluation across Wire, Battery, Planning, and EHS departments.
- Directly supervise employees, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
- Uphold company policies and legal requirements in all supervisory activities.
- Handle employee relations, resolve grievances, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Additional Responsibilities
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring processes.
- Organize and deliver training programs, ensuring team members are properly trained and cross-trained.
- Plan, assign, and direct daily work assignments.
- Write and deliver performance reviews, recognize achievements, and address performance issues as needed.
- Respond to employee concerns and resolve problems promptly and fairly.
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field, or at least 6 years of relevant experience (or a combination of education and experience).
- Previous managerial experience preferred.
- Knowledge of SAP is a plus, but not required.
Technical and Professional Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; understanding of MRP logic and manufacturing planning processes.
- Familiar with quality systems and statistical methods; ISO 9001 required, IATF 16949 preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and solve challenging problems.
- Experience with warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
- Ability to collaborate with engineering teams to drive product and process improvements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present to leadership and external groups.
Soft Skills
- Skilled at motivating teams, delegating tasks, and achieving results through others.
- Effective mediator, able to resolve personnel and departmental conflicts.
- Resourceful and quick to identify root causes and implement operational solutions.
- Adaptable, with a continuous improvement mindset and a strong sense of accountability.
