MISSION

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing the maintenance of the manufacturing and production line equipment with additional duties of facility, grounds, and equipment while maintaining a high standard of safety and efficiency. Performance of building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.)

Responsibilities & Activities
|
|
Facilities Maintenance :
- Oversees the maintenance of the manufacturing and production line equipment especially with the wire harness machines
- Performs routine preventative maintenance and skilled repairs around the building where needed
- Owns work orders, PM plans, asset history, and maintenance discipline. Logs equipment modifications and maintenance details into a designated system
- Maintains the building HVAC equipment, electrical distribution, compressed air, and other building systems
- Applies preventative measures to the building to reduce the risk of future problems
- Fixes potential safety hazards to avoid injuries
- Maintains exterior walways and ensures removal of ice and snow
- Manages trash and recycling removal
- Reports issues to Plant Manager
- Initates calls to outside companies when unable to complete the fix
Collaboration :
- Collaborates with co-workers within and outside of department on issues/projects
Legal Compliance :
- Ensures legal compliance with state, federal, and OSHA requirements
- Ensures ISO procedures are followed
- Maintains compliance with all company policies and procedures

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS
|
|
Personal Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 8-10 years related experience and/or training; or a combination of education and experience
Job Technical skills
- ARC Welding Certification is desired
- Industrial controls troubleshooting including PLC/sensors/safety circuits
- Troubleshooting experience in electrical, electronics, pneumatic, and mechanical systems
- Experience using hand and electrical tools including but not limited to drills, chops saws, sanders, torque tools, and assembly equipment (ideally in automotive or battery manufacturing)
- HVAC Certification is desired
- Microsoft Office experience
- Ability to read technical/maintenance manuals/blue prints/drawings
- Experience operating lift trucks, fork lifts, and scissor lifts
- Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, printer, calculator)
- Other duties as assigned

- Ability to multi-task/prioritize, at times stopping one project to complete a “hotter” project
- Ability to move throughout the facility
- Frequently required to reach with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

- Ability to work in a team environment but to also work independently, including with male and female and at times taking direction from either
- Ability to interact with all levels of the organization exchanging accurate information
- Able to lift 30-50 pounds on occasion
- Occasional local day travel to obtain items for maintenance issues or special projects
- Ability to follow all safety procedures
