Advise the site management and the Department Managers in all S&H fields, in order to comply with legal requirements and apply OPmobility standards and policies.

  • In agreement with the Site Management, propose, write, adapt and deploy the global prevention plan and the annual safety action plan
  • Advise the Site Management and the Associates with recommendations about risks, and support the implementation of the action plans (follow-up of risk analysis)
  • Implement in the organization the legal tasks and missions for safety prevention and social concertation (CPBW), ensure follow-up of safety controls
  • Make the link with External Prevention Service (Medical follow-ups) and other safety Departments on the site

 

Evaluate risks of activities and materials, analyze accidents in order to understand initial causes, apply action plans and reduce occurrence

  • Visit and examine working places as frequently as necessary, pilot safety audits and 5S on the shopfloor, write analysis reports, provide recommendations to reduce risks and support action plans (in collaboration with Management)
  • Pilot the safety audits and 5S on the shopfloor
  • Participate to enquiries in case of  LTA, WLTA, First aids , ensure correct follow-up and implementation of the action plan (in collaboration with Management and insurance/legal administration)
  • Advise for the choice of safety equipment (machines, tools, personal or collective protective equipment…) and validate the reception of those equipments
  • Validate prevention plan from external companies doing activities internally (work permit validation), perform surveillance of their activities and take the necessary actions (in collaboration with Management) to get the safety rules applied and respected

Support implementation of the HSE management system

  • Ensure implementation of the Internal Emergency Plan (active support to author, review and approve), including all the necessary procedures and instructions to manage HSE events or process.
  • Maintain the Fire Prevention File up-to-date (with the collaboration of the required experts)
  • Update the necessary indicators and participate to the EHS management meetings
  • Support the organization of CSR & Act for All activities and actions

 

Perform coaching and training of personnel regarding HSE rules and policies

  • Coach and ensure efficient organization of the emergency response team to properly handle material event or personal injury
  • Write and follow the Safety Rules Booklet for the organization
  • Supervise, organize with the support of HR and perform safety trainings for the employees, provide recommendations on the safety training program
  • Ensure follow-up of personal Safety certifications

 

Profile:

  • Master of Engineering (mechanical or other)
  • Belgian II Safety Advisor Certification
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • 2/3 years in Safety Management positions or as Safety Advisor in Industrial environments
