The role of TRANSPORT BUYER WITH GERMAN is located in Gliwice.

Job description

• Is in charge of the purchasing strategies for suppliers range, identifying the market opportunities (economical, technological and geographical), managing suppliers & the cost reduction programs.
• Is responsible for the sourcing process according to the plants & project needs in the objectives set in terms of quality, cost and delivery
• Is in charge of the “order to pay” process: verifies that the spent authorization rules are respected set up the necessary orders and contracts and tracks the conditions of application. 

Main responsibilities

• Propose the commodity strategy and manage the supply base accordingly
• Market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation)
• Lead negotiation with the suppliers and contracts management with suppliers
• Promote the technical savings proposed by the suppliers
• Take part or lead internal working groups for technical savings identification or problem solving
• Manage risk management of commodity 
• Commit to the respect of legal & environmental rules applicable on its markets

Profile

• Knowledge of the market in road freight, sea and air as added value
• Purchasing knowledge/ Commodity strategy management
• Technical negotiations
• English and German language is a must
• Good ability for communication
• Team player
• Customer oriented
