Junior Serial Buyer– Gliwice, POLAND
Job description
You will join our Central Europe Purchasing team in our Plant in Gliwice, Poland. Your main missions will include:
- Supporting plants in detecting supply chain risks and implementing countermeasures to prevent disruption of supply
- Managing supply stop, contract termination, insourcing and outsourcing
- Identifying cost savings opportunities and implementing these with suppliers and plants
- Implementing engineering changes in serial life
- Ensuring correct payment of suppliers
- Managing mandated parts and suppliers
- Productivity, on-time deliveries, right first-time invoices, sourcing in compliance with target
Your main activities will be:
- Leads each time necessary the problem-solving process (management of operative supply bottlenecks)
- Manages and negotiates requests for price increases <20k€ per year (>20k€ Commodity Buyer)
- Secures supplier payment process, Invoice approval
- Manages supplier relocation in serial phase
- Identifies savings opportunities with plants & promotes technical savings proposed by suppliers
- Prepares and presents Pre-RFQ & Sourcing in serial production phase
- Prepares and implements Nomination Letter in Serial Production
- Manages excess material between suppliers and plants
- Follows and reports the suppliers operative performance, defines and implements improvement plans
- Is responsible for suppliers performance in terms of quality, cost and timing within his/her country perimeter
- Ensures proper handover of purchasing responsibilities from program to serial phase for each project
- Supports the commodity buyers on:

- solving Recurring bottleneck/crisis (e.g. major force majeure)
- managing suppliers' tool damages and repair
- managing supplier insolvencies
- benchmarking activities
Profile
You are a highly motivated young graduate from an engineering school or university with experience in purchasing, especially in negotiations and strategy management.
You are a team player, a self-learner and can demonstrate leadership as well as good communication skills.
Open-minded and with a desire to learn, you demonstrate willingness to embark on an international career. You are rigorous, detail oriented and dynamic.
You are fluent in English and another language is a plus.
