The role of Lead Designer is based in our Exterior Business Group in Gliwice, Poland. 

 

Missions:
As Lead Designer you will ensure that the product design and architecture meet the customer quality requirements (including weight, recycling... specifications), OPmobility manufacturing requirements (design for manufacturing) as well as all costs and timing expectations. You will functionally manage the CAD resources in order to fulfill the designs.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain all necessary technical elements for the design from the customer
  • Analyze the feasibility, realize and pilot the design of parts and products /internal or done by Tier2
  • Manage technical flow of information with CAD office, Tier2 suppliers and customer
  • Lead Design Reviews, execute action plans, report CAD data timing plan
  • Look for solutions and suggest technical proposals to engineering project manager
  • Build geometry files; suggest the reference systems of the parts/products
  • Define and formalize the tuning zones areas to be taken into account for the tools realization
  • Follow the realization of the internal parts and technically validate the assembly drawings
  • Capitalize and formalize the lessons learned of the design during all the project life 
  • You will be working among international teams of engineers specialized in manufacturing processes, in design, in technical purchasing and various other technical functions.

 

Requirements: 

  • University degree (technical, engineering field)
  • English – advanced level
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in design of injection molded plastics parts
  • Ability to lead product design activities, and team of CAD engineers, technical pro-activity, resistance to stress
  • Willingness to travel
