The role of Supplier Quality Engineer is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Gliwice, Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Lead APQP and PPAP activities with suppliers
- Ensure on-time PPAP approval and launch readiness
- Monitor APQP deliverables and project milestones
- Validate part quality, appearance, and measurement results
- Drive supplier risk management and corrective actions
- Manage PDCA action plans with suppliers
- Lead Run@Rate activities and supplier audits
- Support build trials, mountability, and packaging validation
- Ensure effective change management
- Support continuous improvement and lessons learned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related field
- 3+ years of experience in automotive Supplier Quality or Program Quality
- Strong knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans, and 8D
- Experience with supplier development and quality management
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality validation
- Experience with Run@Rate and supplier audits (VDA 6.3 is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to influence and challenge suppliers
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- English – upper-intermediate
