MISSION:

 

  • Closely follows up, with OPTIMAP team, the design and realization of new manufacturing equipment and processes, according to customer requirements, project specifications (costs, timing, quality), standards/best practices and HSE/ergonomics requirements
  • Ensures proper equipment handover to the plant (performance line balancing, training for plant team) and closes any gaps during process and equipment development.
  • Participates in technical improvement of manufacturing technologies domain and in lessons learnt for projects under his/her responsibility.
  • Supports all manufacturing improvement for serial production parts.
  • PLANT/ OPTIMAP/OPTIPRO work packages (convergence, ergonomics/HSE, cycle time, scrap, equipment OEE).

 

 

 

 

 

ACTIVITIES :

 

  • Follows HSE and ergonomics standards and rules.
  • Participates in the conception of manufacturing lines and tools with EPM, MPM, and associated extended team.
  • Leads all capex improvement projects related to specific manufacturing projects.
  • Supports MPM/EPM/SPM/PQL for technical choices to improve the process.
  • Participates on the design and the realization of manufacturing equipment and processes:
    • Validates machines according to P-FMEA, Control plan and ergonomics studies.
    • Updates/adapts former feasibility study and technical choices if needed (Perimeter changes)
    • Validates manufacturing equipment at suppliers’ workshops, fine tune them in the plant and ensure smooth transfer to plant team.
    • Validates necessary documentation for new parts added to the manufacturing processes.

 

  • Continuously improving the design and functionality of manufacturing equipment to enhance efficiency and reduce defects using LEAN manufacturing techniques.
  • Participates in capability validation for all new programs launches equipment development.
  • Participates in lessons learnt activities and productivity projects.
  • This position has the authority and responsibility to stop any process that endangers the safety or health of personnel, significant impacts on the environment, as well as the quality of the product that affect our customers, ensuring that the corresponding procedures are followed within the IMS.
  • Ensure the implementation, maintenance and effective operation of the IMS, ensures that the requirements of this system are communicated, followed, maintained in their department

 

 

 

 

COMPETENCES :

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering / Experience in manufacturing processes.
  • 2/3 years of manufacturing experience in automotive plants.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing engineering.
  • Good understanding of HSE/ergonomics. Strong leadership skills. Strong project management skills.

Control Systems Knowledge: Understanding of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), SIEMENS/ALLEN BRADLEY. 

Knowledge in SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems, and other industrial control systems. 

Knowledge of networking protocols, IP addressing, and network troubleshooting to ensure seamless communication between automated systems 

Good command in Debugging and Troubleshooting: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve issues in automated systems 

 

Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
