TITLE: MANUFACTURING PROJECT MANAGER
ESSENTIAL functions/Duties:
- Manage the manufacturing engineering scope for projects.
- Provide smart, simple, creative and robust solutions to deliver profitability.
- Ensure cross functional management of the extended team.
- Define initial Statement of Work of manufacturing perimeter including extended team, regarding project perimeter, development budget (hours, hourly rate, travel cost) and Optimap Work Packages.
- Manage the manufacturing project reviews, consolidate actions and provide reporting and action plans. Participate in design reviews and QUAD reviews.
- Ensure that Launch Readiness (led by the Launch Manager) is well organized.
- Provide design for manufacturing requirements to product design and ensure the integration.
- Confirm plant capacity is in line with project volumes.
- Responsible for industrialization phase in production plant and SILS.
- Manage project Manufacturing economical perimeter, including cycle time, number of operators, investments, and supply chain costs (transport, SILS).
- Allocate the budget to extended team and guarantee resource availability with the manager.
- Determine internal and external perimeter regarding SOW. Track perimeter changes due to customer or due to internal changes.
- Propose adjustments and modifications linked to perimeter evolution during project lifetime.
- Ensure the follow up of project budget and releases warnings to PM and managers in case of gaps.
- Participate in definition and realization of progress plan.
- Participate in the project closure and deliver feedback regarding best practices and difficulties.
- This position requires 10% domestic and 20% international travel.
SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

REQUIREMENTS:
Main Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering or other closely related field and five (5) years of experience as a Quality & Supply Chain Engineer, Supply Chain & Packaging Engineer, or closely related occupation where required experience gained.
Alternate Requirements: In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree in stated fields and five (5) years of stated experience, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in stated fields and three (3) years of stated experience where required experience gained.
SPECIAL SKILLS: Also requires experience in the following:
- Risk analysis evaluation before timing definition;
- Budget definition for manufacturing processes (AVP – quote phase);
- Design for manufacturing (Risk analysis);
- Supply chain experience, including SAP, Flows, stock definition, and plant sizing;
- Packaging concepts definition;
- Paint and peripherals application;
- Definition for paint application;
- Assembly experience in machines, Flows, and line development definition;
- Budget control;
- Timing control;
- PFMEA development; and
- Customer management experience including Quality, Timing, Engineering, and change request.
