SITE EHS APPRENTICE

HSE Internship 

Mission:

Contributes to the site’s EHS program in the following areas: Safety, Working conditions and Ergonomics, Environmental protection, energy management

Responsibilities:

• Identifies unsafe conditions and environmental risks and recommends action plans
• Performs safety audits
• Train associates in EHS topics
• Contributes to Top safety observation program
• Performs shop floor inspections related to EHS work (security checks/ systems and installations
• compliance...).
• Can contribute in collaboration with Management and MRO buyer, to source and validate appropriate
• personal protective equipment
• Checks the conformity of each new installation, production means and of each chemical product used on
• site
• Participate with sub-contractors and maintenance team to establish the prevention scheme
• Keeps all necessary documentation up to date

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, Engineering or related program.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power-Point).
• Basic understanding of EHS laws and regulations is a plus.
• Strong interest in environmental, Health and Safety regulations and policies.

• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Able to work 25-30 hours a week.
• Able to start the internship right away. 
• Able to work for 6 month – 1 year.
