SITE MANUFACTURING OPERATOR

Title: Injection Mold Setter

Shift: 1st Shift – (7:45am – 4:15pm)

Location: Greer, SC

Responsibilities:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in injection molding field
• Trained in the use of an overhead crane
• Works according to HSE requirements (LOTO, cleaning…) and promote safety mindset on day-to-day basis
• Ensures safety and security conditions are kept in order within the injection area, alerts management in case of any non-conformity or deviance
• Undertakes changeovers in accordance with the production planning
• Ensure quality control plan is followed, first off/last off samples, weight check, process parameters etc.
• Perform tool changes take place within time, completing all appropriate preparatory work in accordance with the SMED work instructions
• Conduct the identified manufacturing checks to the specified control plan
• Ensure any process amendments are recorded
• First response to process failures and ensures any breakdowns in process, tools or equipment are adequately communicated throughout the injection team 
• Works with other departments to support and solve joint problems - paint, assembly.
• May program robots or lead injection robots programmers
• Ensures good 5S within the injection department

Qualifications:

• Must have a clear understanding of injection molding processes
• Basic skills as reading, writing and math
• Must have good problem-solving skills
• Must be able to work overtime to support vacation and call-out coverage.
• Desire to work within a fast-paced team environment
