SITE MANUFACTURING OPERATOR

MISSION:

The Maintenance Mechanic will perform tasks including repair maintenance on plant equipment and other mechanical equipment in the facility.

 ACTIVITIES:

• Follow safety rules of OPmobility and work in a manner that is conducive to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace
• Keep a neat, clean, and organized work area
• Maintain inventory of necessary supplies for repair projects.
• Perform weekly routine to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Determine root causes of equipment failures and implement permanent solutions
• Assist and train other internal and contracted maintenance technicians
• Responsible for repairs, revisions, construction, and new equipment setup

The major activity of the job includes the following physical elements:

• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling.
• Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery.
• Must be able to visually inspect machines.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

COMPETENCES REQUIREMENTS

• Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
• Conveyor system maintenance (chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, etc.)
• Use of hand tools (wrenches, pry bars, torque wrenches, chain breakers, etc.)
• General metal fabrication skills (welding, grinding, cutting, drilling, forming, etc.)
• Understand lubricants and applications

• Works well independently and with others
• Good communication skills
• Organized with attention to detail
