As Plant Director – Kösching, you will lead one of our key manufacturing sites, ensuring operational excellence, sustainable business performance, and the development of high-performing teams. This role offers significant autonomy, visibility, and impact within a dynamic international automotive environment.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the overall performance of the manufacturing site, ensuring achievement of business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Environment, Energy, and corporate standards.
  • Deliver customer expectations regarding quality, cost, and on-time delivery.
  • Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement across all plant functions.
  • Manage the site's profitability, budgets, and overall P&L performance.
  • Lead and develop the plant leadership team and promote a high-performance culture.
  • Define workforce planning and organizational capability in line with business requirements.
  • Ensure effective deployment of problem-solving methodologies throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with project and commercial teams to support successful product launches and production ramp-ups.
  • Represent the company with customers, local authorities, and external stakeholders.

 

Your Profile

  • University degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
  • Extensive leadership experience in an automotive or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven track record of leading managers and large cross-functional teams.
  • Significant experience in plant management, operations, or general management roles.
  • Strong business acumen with experience in P&L and budget ownership.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, operational excellence, and continuous improvement principles.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and people development capabilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Fluent in English and German.
