PLANT PROJECT LEADER

The Plant Project Leader Engineer is responsible for coordinating projects for the plant and to manage technical requirements from customers. He/she is in charge of effectively liaising between development team and plant to meet the timing, cost, quality and safety objectives set for new production. The person will be also in charge of Continuous Improvement inside the plant by implementing Digital Manufacturing Tools, Automation and Production KPI follow-up and Action Plan.

New Program Development: 

  • Coordinate and support the development and industrialization of new projects until start of production,
  • Acting as Plant Project Leader as defined in PO Development Standard Procedure
  • Coordinate with local project team (Purchasing, Logistic, Engineering, Production, Quality) to ensure deliverables set for the project and the plant are met,
  • Develop and maintain project timing,
  • Ensure all targets for quality, downtime and cost are achieved and maintained,
  • Support the implementation of the industrial processes (from definition to validation),
  • Actively assist in machine layout studies to ensure maximum production output,
  • Participate to project reviews with the Program Core Team.

 Design change management for current product:

  • Support Product design change activities through our internal procedures and Customer procedure, Lead the change by mitigating the risks, guarantee the quality, summarize and follow the actions such as process change, Purchasing and logistic flow change …

OPEX (OPerational EXellence) and DM (Digital Manufacturing)

  • Coordinate implementation of Digital Manufacturing and Automation tools inside the Plant. Put in Place necessary training to proper Handover to the Production/Maintenance/Quality team
  • Organize, participate and Manage Kaizen activity in the Plant and follow-up savings and ROI (Return On Investment). Build Continuous Improvement roadmap of the plant and associated savings
  • Improve layout and efficiency and ergonomic of our production line
  • Employees have authority to stop machines in case of immediate risk and emergency situations.

PROFILE

Personal Background

  • Bachelor's degree required (Engineering, Science, Technical or Business)
  • 2-3 years’ experience is a plus.
  • Strong problem solving, decision making and prioritization skills mindset required
  • Used with drawings reading, GDT and AutoCad
  • Notion of Automation and control.
  • Fluent in English. Japanese Language skill is preferable.

Job Technical skills

  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Microsoft Office computer skills, particularly in Word, Excel, Access and Project.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Must be flexible, dependable, and creative.
  • Proven ability in a team environment.
  • Ability to collect, maintain and analyze data.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
