Plant Supply Chain Manager

 

MISSION

Supply Chain BPO mission is to improve efficiency of Supply Chain and Plant through specific projects and continuous improvement of physical and information flows with focus on inbound, outbound, warehousing, manufacturing, planning and stock control processes.

Target is overall to improve the productivity of the supply chain AND system compliance of the plant.

 

Responsibilities & Activities

Outline the key areas of responsibility for this position, including the related activities and eventual authorities

Information flow

 

  1. Provide technical leadership and drive at Supply Chain AND Plant level to continuously improve physical and information flow according to plant road map.

 

  1. Initiate and lead technically Information system projects aiming at transforming the way the site operates its end-to-end physical and information flows. Conducts ad-hoc trainings.
      1. Deployment of Plastic Omnium Shop floor system.
      2. SAP : MRP, production planning;
      3. EDI : customer demand integration, supplier call off / ASN, LES…) aiming at transforming the way the site operates its end-to-end physical and information flows.

 

  1. Ensure Information processes and business rules are effectively applied day-in day-out. Monitors associated KPIs to reach plant and Asia targets.

 

  1. Study current processes and conduct improvement actions to ensure that plant productivity increases, flows get more efficient, and inventory is kept under control.

 

  1. Build and maintain updated an Information system skill matrix, keep local training document updated, improve end-users qualification level in information system through technical training, assist them in their daily operations in the system.

 

  1. SCM BPO is main SAP key-user. Coordinates his actions with the other Key Users of the plant / entity and be the SCM point of contact of Customer Center to prepare masterdata for new product launches.

 

  1. Coordinate and control SAP activity for monthly closure and Cycle count activities.

 

  1. Reports SCM KPI & drive appropriate to Plant direct management, and Asia indirect management.

 

Physical flow

 

  1. Analyze and optimize inbound flow (packagings, containers loading, lead times, etc)

 

  1. Analyze and optimize plant flow (in-house material flow, warehousing solutions, packagings, etc).

 

  1. Analyze and optimize delivery flow (packagings, truck loading density, delivery route, etc).

 

Reporting and Regional role

 

  1. Update and report Supply Chain Scorecards / KPIs at Plant and Asia level

 

  1. Effectively participates to the regional Functional-Key User network and regional Supply Chain meetings and activities. Share experience and expertise acquired with other plants of the region.

 

  1. Lead and support information projects launching and process improvements based on the supply chain roadmap of the region.

 

  1. Involved in INAMS 4.0 documentation by giving feedback to regional BPO about improvements, opportunities demand of INGOAL documentation. Assure documents are clear, accurate and helpful.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

 

Personal Background

 

  • Educational background : 4 or 5 years diploma in Industrial & Operations Management.
  • Strong motivation to work in multicultural environment. Willing to learn different way of working, different way of thinking, and learn Japanese language.
  • First experience in Asia (internship, work, studies) is a plus.
  • Bi-cultural profile is a plus.

 

Job Technical skills

 

  • Strong technical leadership (solution-oriented), communication and facilitator skills are required to get projects moving ahead without hierarchical relationships to the plant end-users.
  • Self-driven & disciplined personality to maintain the rhythm of activities. Personal leadership to change the way things are
  • Excellent skills in MS Excel (Macro, Visual Basic).
  • Solid technical skills are required in SAP in at least 2 or 3 of the following modules MM, PP, SD, WM. EDI knowledge a plus.
  • Professional English (reading, writing and speaking)
  • Japanese intermediate level is preferred.
  • Project management skills.

Prior experience in Flows and Inventory management appreciated.
