Mission:
- Assist Sales, Purchasing, R&D/R&I, in the drafting, revising, and negotiating contracts with automotive customers mainly, suppliers (raw material, components, tooling, services, logistic, capex) and partners (consortium, partnership…)
- Contribute to the overview of any legal operational issues arising in all sites of the Exterior & Lighting Business group in Europe
- Assist in a way that OPmobility operates within the law at all times.
- Facilitate business strategies development by providing options and clarity under the law
- Limit legal and contractual risk exposure
Responsibilities:
- Address in English legal and contractual risks within the EMEA scope of the OPmobility Exterior & Lighting Business group, covering all the traditional areas of the function of a Legal Counsel:
- Contracts in English (Sales), Partnerships, Supply (Production Component and Raw Material suppliers, Specific Tooling and Capacity-tooling suppliers, non-production goods and services suppliers, etc.);
- Advise and recommendation on matters related to Product liability - Competition Law - Intellectual Property - Litigation & Dispute Resolution - Bankruptcy Laws
- Position yourself as a Senior Lawyer among the Business group in order to contribute to the strategic objectives and decisions, by providing high-quality, proactive, business-oriented legal support
- Assist proactively in the implementation of the legal documentation, in monitoring internal policies and in the development of legal awareness within the Exterior&Lighting Business Group:
- Review and draft standard documents, templates & internal policies in English
- Define and conduct training in English in order to implement internal policies and develop legal awareness in the OPmobility Exterior & Lighting;
- Develop and continuously improve knowledge and expertise in key areas of law that are central to the achievement OPmobility strategy
- Team spirit and project management:
- Interact constantly as a team player with the Exterior& Lighting Legal Director and the Legal Operations Team to be fully aligned with the OPmobility Legal Department strategy.
- Visit the plants and local offices of the OPmobility Business Group in Europe region in order to ensure strong connection with the legal function
- Analyze the tools at the disposal of the business stakeholders and propose updates, improvements and new tools (templates, memos, trainings…)
Requirements:
- Education Level: Master’s Degree in law (commercial, contract, international) from a reputed law university ideally completed by a LL.M or a business school diploma.
- Experience: Around 10 to 12 years of experience in a law firm or in the legal department of an international company of the industrial sector in legal operations matters.
- Experience abroad, is a plus.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Fluency in English, verbally and in writing.
- Mastering other languages from a location of any OPmobility plant considered is a plus (Polish, Czech, French or German)
- Understanding and exposure to a multi-cultural working environment
- Organized, team spirit, high integrity and ethical values, excellent communication skills
- Acquisition of “Business” and strategic mindset and negotiator.
- Ability to work at a distance with its reporting line in full transparency and constant communication
- Ability to interact with the other members of the Teams in a dynamic and cooperative way
- Both autonomy and sense of accountability within the legal organization.
