As part of the Global IS/IT Central Services team, the Change & Release Leader owns and manages the global Change and Release Management processes across the IS/IT organization, ensuring all application and hardware changes are delivered safely, quickly, and compliantly. The role is also responsible for managing and structuring operational demand by validating them and channelling them through the correct governance processes to maintain control and strategic alignment.
Responsibilities:
Governance and coordination of change and release management processes
- Owns, defines, manages and continuously improves global Change and Release Management Process across IS/IT organization.
- Assigns qualified demands to the appropriate governance process (e.g., standard changes, normal and urgent changes, operational corrections, coordination with the Build to Run Process).
- Management and follow-up of change and release management processes.
- Coordinates and follows up on standard changes and corrections with the operations managers.
- Leads the committees of Demand Control Board, Change Advisory Board and Emergency Change Advisory Board, ensures risk-based approvals, proper documentation and timely decision -making for changes and releases.
- Leads release planning and deployment governance, ensure smooth integration of releases into production without service disruptions.
- Monitor and improve change performance metrics, define, track and evolve KPI’s.
- Drive global adoption and provide coaching to IS/IT teams at all levels.
- Ensure all RUN demands are managed in line with organizational priorities and governance standards.
- Acts as the Global Process Owner for the respective processes in scope, coordinate and manage indirectly the Process Managers Community.
Requirements:
- University degree or Engineering School with IT specialization or equivalent experience.
- 5-7 years of experience as a Change Manager or Release Manager in matrix organizations.
- Familiarity with the concept of Change, Release, and Demand Management in the context of IT/IS services.
- Knowledge of ITIL processes, methods and standards, and tools in an Operations team. Certification ITIL Foundation.
- Knowledge of ServiceNow or other equivalent.
- Customer focus, delivery and result orientation.
- Consistency and reliability. Ability to plan and organize activities efficiently
- Ability to structure approaches and ideas, synthesize, and adapt to different audiences.
- Teamwork, flexibility, and collaboration. Ability to work with multicultural teams.
- Proficient in English.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid mode from the Cracow office (3 times per week).
