The role of Commodity Buyer (Electronics Components / Assembly) will be dedicated to supporting our Electronics Commodity, more specifically EMS / PCBA.
This position is based in our office in Cracow, Poland.
Responsibilities
- Market analysis (benchmark, professional fairs, market trends, innovation).
- Following and reporting the supplier’s performance.
- Leading the supplier’s sourcing process in respect of the procedures.
- Taking part or leading internal working groups for technical savings identification or problem solving.
- Ensuring competitive pricing and uninterrupted material supply.
- Managing and evaluating the supplier base, making decisions on supplier selection.
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities (e.g. process or material improvements).
- Leading price, contract, and technical negotiations with suppliers.
- Managing the suppliers’ relationships according to OPmobility purchasing policy.
- Monitoring supplier performance and risks (financial, operational) and taking preventive action.
Profile
- Master’s or Engineering degree.
- Fluent English.
- Previous experience as a Commodity Buyer in Electronics Components / Electronics Assembly.
- Strong purchasing expertise with a strategic mindset.
- Purchasing market knowledge & commodity strategy management.
- Experience in negotiations and supplier management.
- Good understanding of finance, cost structures, and cash flow.
- Willingness to long distance business trips (may happen once/twice a year).
