The position of Electronic Component Lifecycle Engineer is located in our office in Cracow.
Responsibilties:
- Develop, maintain, and improve the electronic and connector component database to support R&D and purchasing needs;
- Manage item creation and modification requests in the ECAD system, ensuring compliance with internal rules and standards;
- Monitor product BOMs to identify obsolete or end-of-life components and assess their impact on design and production;
- Analyze supplier notifications (PDN/PCN/LBO), classify them, and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders;
- Lead risk evaluations and impact analyses, coordinating with departments to identify and implement alternative components;
- Report regularly on obsolescence status and contribute to continuous improvement of electronic design tools and methods;
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of analog, digital, and power electronics fundamentals, and electronic board architecture;
- Proficiency in managing electronic component databases within ECAD software and creating component footprints (Altium will be an asset);
- Reading and interpreting technical documentation for electronic components and applying it in design processes;
- Experience in using obsolescence monitoring tools and contributing to the continuous improvement of electronic design methods (Silicon Expert)
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, with the ability to collaborate across departments;
- Precision, adaptability, initiative, and ability to effective teamwork in a dynamic engineering environment;
