The position of FuSa Engineer is located in our office in Cracow.
We are looking for a skilled Functional Safety Engineer to support the development of Battery Management Systems (BMS) in compliance with ISO 26262 standards. You will be responsible for ensuring safety requirements are properly defined, implemented, and validated throughout the product lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
- Define and manage functional safety requirements for BMS projects in accordance with ISO 26262, EN50126.
- Perform safety analyses (FMEA, FTA, DFA) and support hazard and risk assessments;
- Develop and maintain safety concepts, safety plans, and safety case documentation;
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and system teams to ensure safety goals are met;
- Support verification and validation activities, including safety testing and reviews;
- Interface with customers and suppliers on safety-related topics and audits;
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field;
- Proven 4+ experience in functional safety engineering, preferably in automotive or industrial;
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262, EN50126 and EN50129 and safety lifecycle processes;
- Experience with BMS architecture and battery systems is highly desirable;
- Excellent knowledge of reliability calculation methodologies (prediction, operational, test based);
- Proficiency in reliability analysis tools and software (e.g., Weibull analysis, Minitab, RCM software);
- Excellent knowledge of reliability estimation standards;
- Excellent communication and documentation skills;
- Fluent in English
