The role of Lead Electronics Engineer is based in our Lighting Business group in Cracow

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Electronics Project Lead activities
  • Coordinate project lead activities with all Lead Electronics Engineers (as part of lamps or independent electronic systems) and manage team.
  • Distribute workload and plan for resource and management needs.
  • Site-manage all other electronics engineering activities (ECAD, MCAD, HW, SW) and coordinate with line-managers (HW, ECAD/MCAD, CE, SW, Validation) to ensure that they can run their development activities efficiently (tools, working conditions, training)
  • Optimize engineering efficiency by enforcing process compliance and developing/applying standard practices.
  • Ensure that project lead activities comply to the Electronics Development Process and coordinate milestone reviews for all projects. Monitor project KPIs and ensure that risks are detected early and escalated where necessary.
  • Ensure a strong cooperation with Systems Engineering and Program Management and that the system- (lamp-) time schedule is supported by electronics development activities.
  • Optimize global practices for trainings, tools and processes. Make sure, that the team is equipped with the necessary tools and scout for new technologies and processes to improve development efficiency and effectiveness
  • Whenever necessary manage crisis by prioritization, customer or supplier negotiations and solution-oriented thinking.
  • Gain and maintain a good knowledge of the automotive lighting electronics market and build strong relationships with customers and suppliers.
  • Coordinate electronics content for customer quotations and develop high standard of technical response.
  • Support Current Model design activities in the plant: identification and introduction of cost reductions (DCRM) and analysis of quality issues related to electronics.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degre in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with several years of professional experience
  • Evident experience as a Manager and Technical Project Leadership in Automotive Electronics projects
  • Strong background in Electronics Design for automotive applications
  • Understanding typical Automotive Milestones and direct interfacing with automotive OEMs
  • Understanding implications of ASPICE and ISO26262 requirements
  • Good knowledge in Automotive SPICE within the HIS scope and participated in ASPICE audits - Specifically SYS.1/2/3; MAN.3/5/6; SUP.8/9/10
  • High degree of organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Availability for regular national or international business-travel to meet with customers, suppliers and other PO development- and production sites
  • Business fluent English language and communication skills and confident to present to large audiences.
  • Experience and know-how in usage of typical automotive PLM tools.
  • Fluent negotiation skills in English and very good communication skills and teamwork
  • Driving License
