The role of the Product Development Engineer – Hardware (BMS) will be to design and develop next‑generation Battery Management System hardware as part of our newly established engineering team in Kraków.
Responsibilities
- Define technical solutions for electronic systems in line with project requirements, internal processes, cost targets, and quality standards.
- Lead the definition and development of one or more electronic systems within the hardware project team.
- Represent the hardware department in discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with development budgets, timelines, and target cost objectives.
- Coordinate and motivate the hardware team to achieve project goals (no direct reports).
- Support periodic reviews and checkpoints with management to validate technical decisions.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of analog and digital electronics, power electronics, and mechatronics.
- Understanding of electronic controller architecture, battery system architecture, and voltage converter design.
- Familiarity with testing methods, fault analysis techniques, and EMC basics.
- Basic understanding of software architecture.
- Experience in the automotive or railway industry is an advantage.
- Experience with design, validation, and manufacturing of high‑volume electronic boards and PCBs.
- Ability to specify, justify, and analyze electronic board functions and non‑conformities.
- Communicate effectively in English, both written and spoken.
