The position of Project Buyer will be part of the new exciting project and will be based in our Cracow office.
Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with purchasing processes and commodity strategies.
- Act as the main interface between OPMobility and suppliers for assigned projects.
- Lead all purchasing activities: RFQs, negotiations, supplier sourcing, and nomination.
- Oversee supplier development, tooling orders, and on‑time delivery of components during development phases.
- Negotiate prices, timing, conditions, and manage purchase orders.
- Monitor BOM cost evolution and support project profitability targets.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams (engineering, supply chain, quality + legal).
- Track supplier timelines, ensure alignment with project Milestones, and manage technical changes.
- Support development activities, issue resolution, Run@Rate, and plant ramp‑up.
- Propose cost‑saving opportunities and encourage supplier innovation.
Requirements
- Degree in purchasing, logistics, engineering, or equivalent technical university background.
- Experience in project purchasing (negotiations with suppliers, in nominating of suppliers, RFQ creation).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in English and Polish language.
- Solid understanding of product development and project processes.
- Knowledge of battery components and/or electronic systems is a strong advantage, particularly in the context of electrification projects.
- Strong organizational skills, adaptability, and openness to change.
- Comfortable working in multicultural, cross‑functional environments.
- Driving license and willingness to travel occasionally (4-5 times a year).
