RTR Accounting Professional with German

The RTR Accounting Professional will be based in our Kraków office, Poland, and will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, general ledger management, and compliance with both local and group accounting standards. The successful candidate will support month-end closing activities, account reconciliations, and continuous improvement initiatives within the Record-to-Report (RTR) function.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day General Ledger accounting activities, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial data.
  • Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, provisions, prepayments, allocations, and intercompany transactions.
  • Take ownership of Fixed Assets module in SAP, including Fixed Assets additions, disposals, adjustments (ex. impairment entries), reconciliations between AA module and GL.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Month-end intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
  • Contribute to reporting activities.
  • Collaborate with the RTR Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) partner to drive process standardization and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, accounting principles, internal controls, and Group policies.
  • Actively support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization projects within the RTR function.

 

Requirements

  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in Record-to-Report (RTR), General Ledger, or Financial Accounting, preferably within a Shared Service Center (SSC), Global Business Services (GBS), or multinational environment.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting processes, and month-end close activities.
  • Experience with balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, and intercompany accounting.
  • Proficiency in SAP or another ERP system.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent English and German both written and spoken.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and international environment
