MISSION

The MES Systems Engineer is responsible for analysis, building, implementation and support of manufacturing shop floor information solutions and processes.  Job duties include requirements definition, systems analysis, application deployment and optimization.  Work performed in a fast-paced environment within tight time constraints.  Unusual hours and travel may be required.  This is a salary exempt position.

Primary Responsibilities

Organizational:

• Analyze business requirements through user interaction or through project leader in order to translate requirements into design specifications and functional code:
• Design and adapt the system to changing business processes and needs
• Basic project management required for affected systems
• Provide support to other positions as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Plant Support:

• Support, Maintain and Update MES Traceability system in NAO/SAO region.
• Participate in corrective actions, problem resolution, continuous improvement and quality assurance effort
• Serve as second level support for plant floor systems as needed.
• After hours support when needed

System Troubleshooting/resolution:

• Provide system analysis and design consulting services for projects as needed
• Maintain and develop knowledge and skills relevant to current technologies and applications to proactively recommend solutions to business needs
• Support of MES software and Creation/Modification of user documentation
• Resolve all performance problems and technical support issues via collaborative system troubleshooting

Communication:

• Maintain regular schedule of oral/written correspondence with team members and customers

Software Maintenance:

• Perform regular database maintenance, query development and optimization to assure that performance and service levels are met
• Perform and assure recurrent data integrity, update validation and regression testing activities.

Training:

• Must successfully complete all POAI required training
• Must comply with all work rules, policies and procedures
• Must comply with all safety rules and regulations

Travel

• Some travel required typically 20% in State
• Some travel required typically 30% out of state
• Some travel required typically 10% out of Country

Standards:

• Ensure compliance of standards and procedures in the support of new programs or existing solutions including design documentation and test plans.
