PROJECT BUYER
RESPONSABILITIES
- Serve as the Lead Buyer for local teams in regional and global development programs.
- Negotiate optimal pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
- Lead sourcing activities for BOM components.
- Track and manage program deliverables, including sourcing status, financials, and supplier timing.
- Support and drive cost-reduction initiatives in line with regional and global purchasing objectives.
- Manage supplier relationships in compliance with established purchasing procedures and policies.
- Prepare, issue, and analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from approved suppliers to support
- production and pre-production needs, and issue corresponding purchase orders.
- Assists and/or leads the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problems
- Lead or assist in resolving production, design, quality, and delivery issues.
- Conduct team sourcing kick-off meetings with suppliers after award decisions.
- Coordinate cross-functional meetings with program teams and suppliers.
- Oversee engineering changes, tool transfers, and benchmarking activities for assigned programs.
- Develop, maintain, and publish documentation as required by purchasing procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
PROFILE REQUIRED
Personal Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing industry environment or CPM certification preferred.
- 2-5 years of purchasing or program purchasing experience preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship or transfer, now or in the future.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, maintain, and interpret data.
- High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Demonstrated ethical conduct and professionalism.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- English mandatory
