PROJECT BUYER

 

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Serve as the Lead Buyer for local teams in regional and global development programs.
  • Negotiate optimal pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers.
  • Lead sourcing activities for BOM components.
  • Track and manage program deliverables, including sourcing status, financials, and supplier timing.
  • Support and drive cost-reduction initiatives in line with regional and global purchasing objectives.
  • Manage supplier relationships in compliance with established purchasing procedures and policies.
  • Prepare, issue, and analyze Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from approved suppliers to support
  • production and pre-production needs, and issue corresponding purchase orders.
  • Assists and/or leads the resolution of production, design, quality and/or delivery problems
  • Lead or assist in resolving production, design, quality, and delivery issues.
  • Conduct team sourcing kick-off meetings with suppliers after award decisions.
  • Coordinate cross-functional meetings with program teams and suppliers.
  • Oversee engineering changes, tool transfers, and benchmarking activities for assigned programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and publish documentation as required by purchasing procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

PROFILE REQUIRED

Personal Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, or related field. 
  • Experience in a manufacturing industry environment or CPM certification preferred. 
  • 2-5 years of purchasing or program purchasing experience preferred
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for visa sponsorship or transfer, now or in the future. 

 

Skills and Abilities 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, maintain, and interpret data.
  • High level of integrity with the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ethical conduct and professionalism.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • English mandatory
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with proven accuracy in work. 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across functions. 
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. 
  • Self-starter with strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
