The role of Manufacturing Project Leader is based in our Exterior & Lighting Business Group in Lozorno, Slovakia.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and industrialization of new automotive projects
- Define manufacturing scope and deliverables based on Optimap work packages
- Manage the full manufacturing budget, including labor and investment costs
- Apply HSE, ergonomics and design-for-manufacturing standards in all solutions
- Participate in process FMEA and design equipment and processes accordingly
- Plan and execute equipment trials ensuring KPI convergence (cycle time, scrap, quality, manpower)
- Manage CAPEX and ensure correct financial tracking
- Prepare phase reviews and launch readiness for Program, Launch and Plant Management
- Design industrial project scenarios, including physical and information flows
- Drive problem‑solving using IES methodology and ensure best practices are shared and deployed
Requirements:
- University degree in engineering (mechanical specialization preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in automotive plastics / product development / production / assembly / paint / supply chain / packaging
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrialization
- Advanced English; German language is an advantage
- Proven leadership and communication skills
- Strong capability to work cross‑functionally with plants, customers and suppliers
- Experience with PPAP, engineering changes, validation plans and industrial KPIs
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and process optimization
- Ability to manage budgets, investments and timelines
- Willingness to travel internationally
