We are looking for a strategic and analytical Commodity Buyer to join our purchasing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing a robust supplier base, driving cost optimization, and supporting cross-functional initiatives. Your responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement commodity strategies aligned with company goals
  • Build and manage a global supplier panel in line with automotive standards
  • Lead cross-functional projects with departments such as Quality, Legal, Finance, and Development
  • Analyze supplier capabilities, conduct audits, and build supplier roadmaps
  • Create cost models and drive productivity initiatives
  • Negotiate and manage framework agreements with strategic suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms and purchasing policies
  • Handle RFQs, supplier capacity planning, and performance monitoring
  • Support project buyers during negotiations and manage supplier-related crises

 

Our requirements:

  • Proven experience in commodity or strategic purchasing, preferably in the automotive sector
  • Strong negotiation and analytical skills
  • Experience in supplier development and contract management
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and cost modeling
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects and work in a global environment
  • Good command of English (spoken and written)
  • Familiarity with quality standards (e.g., ISO9001, IATF16949) is a plus
