The role of Component Development Engineer (Fuel/SCR Systems) is based in our C-Power Business Group in Lublin, Poland.
Responsibilities:
- Develop fuel and/or SCR (aftertreatment) components from requirements through validation in collaboration with system engineering
- Translate customer specifications into robust component requirements and engineering deliverables
- Prepare and maintain Component Technical Specifications (CTS); support Purchasing in technical evaluation of supplier offers
- Lead technical supplier development activities, including DFMEA coordination and validation planning/review
- Coordinate and monitor component validation testing (internal, supplier, and customer where applicable)
- Support industrialization to ensure production readiness and design maturity
- Contribute to cost and target‑cost activities for components, including development and validation costs
- Apply quality standards and structured problem‑solving methods (e.g. 8D)
Requirements:
- University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Plastics Engineering, or a related field
- Strong engineering background, experience with fuel and/or SCR systems is an advantage
- Knowledge of plastic and/or metal part technologies
- Experience working with suppliers and familiarity with DFMEA is a plus
- Structured, analytical problem solver with strong organizational skills
- Team‑oriented communicator with a data‑driven mindset
- Fluent English, German is an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CAD/PLM tools (e.g. Teamcenter) preferred
