The role of Quality Development Engineer will be based in our location in Lublin, Poland.
Responsibilities
- Lead quality activities for new product development projects in compliance with APQP methodology, internal standards, and customer-specific requirements.
- Coordinate project quality deliverables across all development phases, from concept and prototyping to SOP and ramp-up.
- Define and maintain Control Plans, inspection strategies, testing requirements, measurement systems, and quality documentation.
- Coordinate PPAP preparation, validation activities, and customer submissions.
- Analyze prototype, pre-series, and launch quality issues and drive corrective actions using structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa.
- Identify, assess, escalate, and mitigate product and process quality risks in cooperation with cross-functional project teams.
- Manage customer quality concerns, deviations, and non-conformities while maintaining direct communication with customer quality representatives.
Profile
- Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, materials engineering, quality engineering, or a related technical field.
- Experience in automotive quality, project quality, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality.
- Good knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, and structured problem-solving methods.
- Understanding of ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and customer-specific requirements.
- Ability to work effectively in international and cross-functional teams.
- Strong analytical mindset, communication skills, rigor, and ability to influence stakeholders.
- Fluent English; German or French would be an additional advantage.
- Willingness to travel, approximately 20-40% depending on project phase.
